"My Year in Industry placement at AnTech provided me with a wide range of experience working in engineering development within a growing company. Everyone at AnTech is friendly, approachable and always willing to help out with your questions.

The structure of the placement makes it easy to integrate into the day-to-day running of the business and get used to what is happening. As you progress through the year you are offered projects which are suitably challenging and appropriate to your abilities and interests. Throughout the year you are also fully supported in the other aspects of the Year in Industry, such as the additional courses and presentations.

My year with AnTech was a very rewarding experience which has helped me to fully appreciate and understand my university course, proving invaluable to my development as an engineer, and of course it is a huge advantage to my CV."

"The responsibility presented to me was a great deal of work on my part to obtain similar standards of design and technical excellence as the rest of the AnTech team. This was ultimately incredibly rewarding due to the difficulty of some of the work undertaken.

My project was to refine the manufacturing process with respect to AnTech, of one of the company’s product lines. This involved developing an easy method of obtaining prices for inquiring customers, ‘ironing out’ any faults in the part drawings, as well as project managing the manufacture of products on order.

The Year In Industry has been a priceless experience. Along with the practical skills I have learned whilst working at AnTech, the scheme as a whole, has taught me many key skills such as time management and working as a team to achieve a common target. Very beneficial and hugely satisfying."
