A completely self-contained system, the ShotView™ Shot Detector records the downhole sounds that normally can’t be heard at the surface. This knowledge is an essential part of perforating operations giving peace of mind and reassurance.
Initially used as a failsafe way to guarantee and prove perforation shots have been fired, the shot detector is also being developed to cover other applications such as collision detection.
Combining an on-board memory with real-time displays puts the knowledge at your fingertips. The right decisions can now be made at the wellsite whilst also allowing for post-operational analysis and verification.
Its ‘cable free’ feature gives the shot detector high data integrity with no risk of data being lost through damaged cables.
And for installation, all that is require is to stab the geophone into the ground, switch it on, go to the receiving unit and start logging.
