Pipe Recovery
The Differential Pressure Firing Head (DPFH) provides peace of mind for AnTech's customers who require the quickest way to release the tool string if it becomes locked in the well. The DPFH works together with AnTech's Pipe Recovery Systems Chemical Cutter to release the string. The Chemical Cutter Head is positioned at the sticking point and detonates the DPFH.
The DPFH uses a small explosive charge to ignite the Chemical Cutter. Detonation is conducted by sealing the flow from the tubing to the well by the use of a ball. This creates a difference in pressure that breaks the shear pins that hold the firing pin.
By carrying out this simple procedure, the tool string is freed, significantly reducing downtime.
