Branch Pilot™ (Re-entry of Multilaterals)

A re-entry system is an essential part of optimising the performance of multilateral wells. With AnTech’s Branch Pilot™, a branch entry can be identified first time. There is no need to run to the bottom of the lateral for confirmation and there is no need for pumping when finding the lateral, saving CT fatigue. Its on-board sensors and accurate control ensure that the right lateral is entered every run, reducing time and cost.

The system uses AnTech’s patented Orienting technology to point the tool in any direction within a conical radius. This can be adjusted at any time during operation, with wireline control allowing real-time response, so there is never any need to pull out of the hole even to enter another lateral.

AnTech’s flexible approach allows for any connection to be designed to suit individual tools which can be attached on the downhole end to facilitate any well stimulation or other re-entry operation.
